My Brain on Disbelief

One heck of a week here.

Common Sense was being challenged by chicanery in the Illinois Senate. Who was telling the Truth? Something serious was missing for sometime.

A few weeks ago our Democratic Governor got hauled away by the FBI from his home before his kids got up for school.

He was charged with Abuse of Power?!

He was told to resign or risk impeachment.

All this activity occurred uncannily around the Change of Administrations in Washington.

Were there duplicitous standards at the Justice Department? Then thanx to the Illinois General Assembly, Transcripts with Audio Evidence were made available to the Public.

After reading then listening in order to compare the FBI wiretapped Governor Blagojevich nuances of 6 weeks to the New World Order Directives of the Rove, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld & Rice Administration of the past 8 years, circumstances continued to challenge common sense. Questions like Who? What? Where? When? Why? while simple enough to ask, answers were a plethora of obfuscatory choices.

So began an attempt to clear up confusion with a July 8, 2008 On-Line Time Magazine article. GOP Targets DEM "Scandal Babies" by Will Schultz/Washington. "History suggests that scandal babies do not fare well when they face an opponent free of ethical baggage. Michael Patrick Flanagan, for example, won an improbable victory in the Republican tsunami of 1994 over scandal-scarred Democratic veteran Dan Rostenkowski, but he was crushed two years later by an energetic young Democrat named Rod Blagojevich (who went on to be elected governor of Illinois — and is now suffering through his own ethical travails). A scandal, it seems, is a onetime thing: it's helpful for getting elected but is of little use when re-election rolls around."

(Who?) Republican Michael Patrick Flanagan & Democrat Rod Blagojevich (For What?) Illinois 5th Congressional District Seat (When?) 1994.

(Why?) Are the 5th District, Flanagan and Blagojevich connected by a Republican vendetta?

Don't know, but in 2002 former President Clinton aide Rahm Emmanuel campaigned for and was elected to Represent the Illinois Congressional 5th District, my neighborhood, home to Wrigley Field. Representative Emmanuel recently resigned to return to the White House therefore this place is in play again, and we are having a Special Election.

Stumbling and mumbling through Public Records to connect history finds former Illinois 14th District Congressman Dennis Hastert with his own Keep Our Mission PAC which receives support from Republican former Illinois 5th District Congressman Michael P. Flanagan now a consultant in Washington D.C.

But then on Thursday afternoon Governor Blagojevich was removed from office after a 59-0 non-partisan vote. The designated Prosecutor Ellis didn't move me but the reviews of evidence voiced by 33 of the 59 Senators compelled me to say "'Nuff said spread the word it's Governor Quinn now."

Taking a break from netting, We, will move forward to the March 3rd Primary Election.

Meanwhile 84 days ago, 30 sailors in 30 sixty foot boats headed into the Tradewinds for a 28,000 mile race around the Circumference of Earth. 1 of the 12 remaining in the flotilla finished , while I tried to finish this entry.

Facts help My Brain deal with disbelief.
