Headache Mystery Solved

For what it's worth:Headache mystery solved

Yesterdays' MRI showed a "brittle starfish" like shape where a spot used to be three months ago.

This means no more Temodar. Am applying for another Clinical Study, combining Avastin with Enzastaurin.

A few reflections:
  • The Good News about Bad News is knowing the Bad News.
  • When one is an outcast one has alot of time to be alone
  • Digital Data Back-up beats venomous innuendo
  • I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.

Hereditary Cancer Curiousity

My  friend John,an OB GYN gave me this attached  Family History Questionnaire for Common Hereditary Cancer Syndromes because he thought it would help.

"Myriad Genetic Laboratories,is a biopharmaceutical company that focuses on developing new therapeutic and predictive medicine products. Myriad Genetic Laboratories uses innovative technology to perform genetic testing of the highest quality available.

Myriad identifies genes, related proteins and biological pathways, and then uses this information to predict a person's risks of developing specific cancers. Myriad's genetic testing helps people and their doctors work together to more effectively prevent and fight cancer."

As our Ancestor Archive grows.  Health and lifestyles will invariably be important for our descendants records.

This is just a piece of paper for our own curiousity and enlightenment. It is just a tool we can add to our self understanding of our own genetic constitution.

You can of course follow your inquiry on-line

Metastasis by Richard Hynes

From MIT World

“Screens are revealing a lot of different mechanisms by which metastatic cells learn new tricks, and suborn the mechanism of the host to get them where they’re going. The appealing thing is, these alterations offer opportunities for therapies: you can interfere with circuits between cells, restore growth suppression, interfere with blood vessel formation.” Richard Hynes

Anaplastic Astrocytomas Adventurer

Like to sleep alot which I am told is to be expected, part of the healing from the Radiotherapy. Which will take up to a year. There is a straight line down the middle of my head where the hair stops growing. Nothing from the Center to the Right, there is Comedy written all over that without even trying.

When the hair does grow back supposedly between 3-6 months from now it'll have a different texture and color; I'm imagining a blond Halfro.

Am doing ok tho. Compared December 2nd MRI's with July 22nd MRI's and saw a reduction in size of the three tumors; which is what is supposed to happen.

The Left side of my body is slowly coming back but I'm told to anticipate recovery from the Craniotomy on my Right Pre-Motor Cortex to take about a year. Social Security has approved me for disability assistance, and has informed me that I will be reviewed in three years, because they believe my condition will improve. Hmmm, one can see that as pretty Motivational or the ultimate Deadline.

I 'll take Motivational for 50 more , aw heck make it a 10o, 'cuz in addition to beating the cancer, my left rotator cuff needs to be reconnected, then my left distal radius needs to be reconstructed. 2008 had its' not so great moments, however, may 2009 be better than fine,

Chit with ya',
