One loop in Daley plaza

Evenin',

Today was my 5th day of my 11th cycle of Temodar. I feel fine, a little fatigue, a little slow to speak, a little rumbling in the belly, all in all ok. What better thing to do than participate in a Healthcare Reform Rally.

This clip was shot to catch how it feels to do one loop carrying a sign, while being photographed and watched, in Daley Plaza in front of Senator Durbin's Office in the Dirksen Federal Building, while Falun Gong prayed. They were there just in this loop I did not get any frames. Nor are there the high school kids offering Fee Hugs, which became known as Hugs for Healthcare. Alot of smiles aren't in this loop. Nor are the conversations that people had about the importance of Humanity towards Humanity which seems to find an expression through War and Greed, instead of Health or Hugs which offer better results. Then there was the moment we were collected in ensemble chant for a Film Camera crew of one who set-up, filmed and left in mid-moderator, rallying. Yep we were postured for broadcast later wherever. One memory also not in this loop is the guy with a sign held in an aluminum frame two American flags one left one right. This assembly was mounted in his knapsack. As he walked toward you his sign read "Peace Now" As he walked away his sign asked, "Warfare or Healthcare?" Forgive me for not getting a picture of his activist assemblage. With all this in your mind,

Press play and carry your sign.

This just in:

The following is a message from the host of
Sen. Durbin, We're Counting on You!, the 'We're counting on you!' Rally that you signed up to attend:

"Hello, people who signed up for the Federal Plaza Public Option Rally today, Wednesday Oct 14th.

Thanks to all of you who were able to attend. We had 250-300 people in front of the Federal Building, carrying signs calling for the Public Option and asking
Senator Durbin to serve as a more public and persistent leader in assuring that the Public Option emerges in final legislation. The consensus was that it was an energizing and very effective event.

A delegation presented Senator Durbin's staff with 300 letters, many personally written, again, encouraging his active leadership. The staffer in the office was clearly impressed with both the rally and the letters, and assured us that the Senator would see many of them, and that some would be sent to the Senator's speechwriters.

On behalf of the MoveOn council coordinators and others who organized the Rally today, special thanks:

Melody Brynne and Natalie Erber (Chicago Central Council); Amy Kurtz, Mara Cohen and Steve Sidell (Evanston/North Side Council);
Jack Levine and Matt VanSlyke (North Suburban Council); Sue Myers, Randy Jurvis and Patty Wanderlich (South Suburban Council); and Mary Ector and Sidney Davis 3rd (South Side Council)

Please consider joining one of these councils. You can do so by going to
MoveOn.org/team and entering your zip code. Local councils are active in developing strategy and events in the metropolitan area.

Again, thanks for signing up and for coming out. We look forward to seeing you again as we continue our support for
strong health care legislation and other progressive issues.

Larry Goldberg, Regional Coordinator, MoveOn."

Cooooool!!!!

Here is the body of my Letter to Senator Durbin

The electorate has moved from politically inactive to the politically active. A convincing portion just had to become old enough to vote, the larger portion just had to live long enough to see their hopes and dreams become fervent enough to mobilize Common Good Purpose. It is a Social Shift that is a result of many Technology shifts which provide efficient means for information communication. We’ve come a long way from Cave drawings and drum beats. Art & Music enhanced by these technologies bridge humanity.

The Drum Beat common in every culture can trace its’ roots to the heartbeat. One thing every animal has for only a short time compared to cosmic scale. You are able to read & comprehend these words. You are able to help create Universal Healthcare for All. It is time for your Cave Drawing. HR 676, S 703 or better. A Healthcare Act supporting Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness. It has a pretty, inalienable right, sound to it.

Let Freedom Ring Senator Durbin.

I offer my help while I Live through my Anaplastic Astrocytoma Adventure.

“Do unto others as one would have others do unto them” are the words of a healer.

Those promoting Universal Healthcare practice the preaching because their actions include the well being of those who oppose them. From Womb to Tomb we can create an environment where our innate social obligation to each other without borders, will forebear Moral Aptitude. This Social Shift enabled by Technology Shift requires a Congressional Shift in a Bi-Partisan Nature. This disingenuous debate has precedent in many writings of fiction and fact. A predictable reference is, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". Yep George Orwell’s, Animal Farm, succinctly describes my observation of Why?

Again the fact that the Electorate is participating bodes well for all, as here is where the ideas that will work, will be brought forth for Healthcare, Education, and Energy Self Sufficiency which are better than Warfare for this Planet.

  • Will be in NIH October 20th & 21st for Clinical Study follow-up.
  • Living through 3 Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytomas,Post Surgical, Chemo/Radiation Therapy & recovering from Paralysis of left side of my body
  • Am around if you need me.
  • Did my laundry by myself for the first time in a year yesterday
  • Ran a short distance for the first time in a year last week

Then this evening, found this imaginary "Town Hall"

"This healthcare reform panel includes Prof. Jacob Hacker, considered the "father" of the "public option" in health insurance, Dr. Stephanie Spangler and Prof. Ted Marmor. Michael Waldholz, managing editor of Global Health and Science, Bloomberg News, moderates.

This panel discussion took place at the Sterling Hall of Medicine, Harkness Auditorium, on September 16, 2009."

Enjoy,

Peter
