PARTY TALK

HAD A CONVERSATION WITH MY COLLEGE NEPHEW WHICH ENDED  BECAUSE THE CAR POOL WAS LEAVING:

SO I WROTE HIM LATER TO CONTINUE

This is a continuance of thought left at the point where you were advocating that if a problem is posed in the form of class versus class then the solution will based on that conflict accomplishing nothing.  in the form of class with class  then there is the  likelihood for amicable resolution which brings both parties together without confrontation, kinda like visualizing the intended resulted, and fulfilling it proceeding civil language.
i think that was what you trying to explain to me as the recurrent  peaceful  debate you have with your fellow Grinnellians
If as I think about it one seeks to connect opposing forces calling them opposing forces this is not the route to take. Posing a question in the form of class versus class prevents resolution before it begins

This makes sense, did I get it?

Yes, that's about it. The problem I see with presenting problems, as you say "class vs. class" is that it involves identity, and people are more likely to irrationally hold onto a counterproductive identity than a bad solution that is disconnected from them. Additionally, summing up people's identities as comprising of one, or a few groups is bound to be inaccurate. This is how I try to debate with Grinnellians, though other Grinnellians have not always debated each other as amicably.

thanx, the label was a temporary term not indicative of the greater whole. Behavior is for me an indidual by individual clue, compartmentalizing that gets into group think/mob rule which in itself must be picked apart through causality pealing the onion as I say revealing the cause which lead to the effect. what makes a pack function in conjunction with the needs of each individual.
Any ideas about the demarcation of North Africa in 1917 which we are dealing with in Gaza now?
