Last Night I saw Susan for first time in 39 years. I met her husband John who said, "I've known you for ten years! I see you in Tenenbaum's. You ride a bike." Then Steve from Tenenbaum who was in line to see Susan asked "how ya' feelin'?" I introduced him to my Dad and my sister Julie. Steve introduced us to his brother Al. Dad, Julie 'nd I went to the kitchen where I talked with Susan's brother Peter. He introduced me to his daughter Amanda, who is one of his two grown-up kids. Pat, friend of John's walked in "lookin' fer sahm teah"asked "how ya' doin'?" Pat and I learned how small the world is, how short is time. "Had Ah Known, Ah'da takin' ya' more seriously"
Other moments during the get-together included Susan's sister Ellyn, who said "so you're a member of the club", Susan's Dad who said "thanks for coming", Susan's Mom who said "Peter!!"
When I stopped by to see Susan the line was was long. It grew longer as the night ticked along. The invite said from 2-9. At 8:30 invitees were still arriving. The celebration continues today with a parade bringing her to where Susan joins everyones' club. A place where others who didn't make it last nite or today can visit whenever and talk.
